Between our 3 released games, Bear Survival, Jewel Hunt Pixel, and Target Practice, we have achieved 1,000 collective downloads. Our community of players is strong, and we cannot wait until we can give out alpha versions of Nations Under Fire (Post coming soon) so you can experience true FPS action in a military setting against human AI.

We’d like to thank everyone, 1,000 strong, for being a strong and supportive community. And for that, we will have an additional game out by the end of this week as a appreciation from us. Thank you everyone for all the support, feedback, and downloads of our games! We hope we can continue this trend into the end of the year and into the release of Nations Under Fire.

Target Practice is free and available to download on IndieCity.com today. Feel like testing your marksmen skills? Shoot an assortment of rifles including SPAS 12, M16 (Various Attachments), and even a Sword!

After releasing Bear Survival to ModDB.com yesterday, we have boasted 538 downloads since it was authorized! Making our total Bear Survival player number 914, nearly 1,000 players! That is a huge milestone for us. Keep in mind this is our first game with some bugs that are to be fixed. These will be soon, and will mainly be up on ModDB. Check out these stats..

New Platform, Download easier!

For fans of our games, we are now offering two ways to get our games. The first being IndieCity.com and now, ModDB.com. So why did we add these folks in? Let’s discuss…

ModDB is a database essentially of mods, games, and tutorials. It is a gamers heaven essentially. For example, look at our Bear Survival page. Examine the menu under the titles name, we have everything you need for game specific news. We can post news for the game, jobs you can apply for, community reviews, comments, videos, mods, tutorials and more! ModDB also gives us immediate access to DLC capabilities. Meaning we can update Bear Survival a lot sooner and faster. This site also gives you the options to share easier, and track game updates or developer updates!

The download is currently in Authorization mode (Same idea as CAP, except the Admin makes sure the file is safe.) at the time of this blog post so it may not be immediatly available, not very sure. However it will be up for download soon on that page.

New Games, Coming (Hopefully) This Week!

We have just finished development on two games, Jewel Hunt Pixel and Target Practice. They have been put into the submission and approval process at IndieCity and are waiting to be added to the store. They will hopefully be reviewed and published by the end of the week. Here’s a small overview of both games.

Jewel Hunt Pixel

Jewel Hunt Pixel is a Minecraft styled game (useage of blocks and deleting of said blocks) in which you have to find the treasure. It is a sandbox building game which allows you to make and shape anything you like.

The point of the game is to find the hidden jewels in this massive environment. Once found the game put you in free roam. There are 5 Jewels to find. Known Bugs: Sometimes the player can see past the terrain, Slow loading, minor glitches.

Target Practice

Target Practice is a Nations Under Fire pre-alpha (that early in dev). It features you in a target practice zone. You have the option of shooting a Spas 12, M-16 variants, Rocket Launchers, Grenades and even a sword.

The game doesn’t have a said end, but lets you play with certain weapons to see what you like.

Both games will be available FREE on IndieCity.com and will be released sometime this week.

New Ways To Download

You can now download our games in two different sources (more coming soon), both have their ups and downs. As seen on http://tweetzone.net you can download on IndieCity or RapidShare. An explanation on both..

IndieCity:

This requires you register on there site and install their client to download games. However, once done all you have to do is login and you get DLCs, Patchs, and Bug Fixes. This is the supported method.

Rapidshare:

This is a direct link to game builds. You can download instantly, however no DLC or Patches can be installed without redownloading the whole game again from RapidShare. It is also the last updated version. Good for one time players.

SOPA: Why it’s bad and our stand point

SOPA/PIPA (Stop Online Piracy Act/Protect Intellectual Property Act) is a bill trying to be pushed through congress that would censor much of our internet. Let me explain,

SOPA is a bill which aims to stop online piracy – or the downloading of paid property online without paying. Downloading for free. That sounds like a great plan, however. The scope of what it covers is far too large, it includes user generated content as well. Take Youtube for example. It would be shut down, there is tons of copywritten material freely viewable on YouTube. This goes for Facebook as well. You post an image or logo that is under copyright, Facebook will go down. How do they do this? It is a DNS blocking system, similar to the way China’s censorship online works. It takes hold of your internet provider and blocks the domains with infringing material. So the site doesn’t go down, however, it is now blocked from yours and everyone else’s ISP. The owner of the domain will also be sued for the material on the site.

Why is it a big deal? This is censorship. The internet is something still developing – always changing. If we mess with it now it may never go back the same. Leave the internet how it is.

Our standpoint on this is to stop it. Some of our games contain free 3d models that may be covered under this, so any and all revenue would be lost and we would be done. We have already emailed local senators and tweeted them. To get in contact with yours, type your zip code here on Wikipedia’s Zip Code lookup and email them. Future Game Information

Shattered Games has undoubtedly had great success with our first First Person Shooter being released. With high praise and a large number of downloads, this prompted us to continue on the a gaming venture. So will we be a one hit wonder? We hope not. We are collaborating with a team to start working on a project while we simultaneously work on Nations Under Fire, which is out to be the best Indie FPS and break the ground of what we know of traditional games like Call Of Duty or Battlefield. This will be our biggest game with supported online multiplayer, epic campaign, and a special mode we have yet to test .

The game we are working on with the other team will not be fully owned by us, we are going to be one of the company contributors. Not fully made by us, but it still has a special little touch to it.

A release date for either of these titles has yet to be determined and we will keep you updated.

Bear Survival no longer free mid-January

Bear Survival has been a hugely successful first release. It was great to make, great to debug (ish) and is great to have being enjoyed by so many people! However, in order to continue funding for our next game, we are raising the price from $0.00 to a modest $1.50. IndieCity does have a conversion system for those of you non american game enjoyers.

We hope you continue to help support us and purchasing the game for a small penny does help us with patches and new games.

Bear Survival Patch V1.1

New menu design
Ray gun DOES NOT KILL. Just stuns bears
